چکیده
Physiological and behavioral indicators of heat stress in cattle are time labor-intensive to measure, difficult observe extensive pasture settings. We proposed record respiration rate standing behavior using unmanned aerial vehicles. Videos were recorded above steers on feedlot the morning (0830 – 1130) afternoon (1400 1700) over ten days between July 25 Aug 10, cows nine 19 29. In feedlot, video recordings 925 individuals (264 black-coated, 413 red, 248 white) obtained, varying breed which included Black Angus, Hereford, Charolais, Canadian Speckle Park, Simmental. On pasture, 267 (116 Angus 151 Hereford) obtained. Observer software was used analyze videos. Respiration highest black cattle, followed by red then white cattle. Coat color did not affect pasture; temperatures lower than feedlots effect coat may manifest until a certain ambient or globe temperature threshold. The probability that would be increased with load index

15 صفحه اولBears Show a Physiological but Limited Behavioral Response to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have the potential to revolutionize the way research is conducted in many scientific fields. UAVs can access remote or difficult terrain, collect large amounts of data for lower cost than traditional aerial methods, and facilitate observations of species that are wary of human presence. Currently, despite large regulatory hurdles, UAVs are being deployed by resea...

متن کاملPhysiological Responses of Cattle to Heat Stress
Pakistan lies in the Warm Climate Zones of the world and is subjected to extended periods of high ambient temperature and relative humidity. The objective of this article is to review the physiologic/adaptive responses of acclimated cattle to heat stress emphasizing its affects on nutrient acquisition and metabolism, acid-base chemistry and hormonal balance of the body. Heat stress invokes a de...
متن کاملReconfigurable Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been developing dramatically due to wars and miniaturisation of technology, which has made the UAV industry a very lucrative business. Research organisations have been funded by various research committees or military groups to push UAV developments at a very fast pace. Although these UAVs are high in capability, they are limited to a single use application ...
